Training is provided for all carried
software packages from Pentana to Arbutus
and also for other data analysis tools such as ACL.
All training courses are specifically
designed to maximise the learning experience.
The training materials are developed
in-house, based on extensive experience with the tools,
practical examples, simulation data
and valuable customer feedback.
Upon request, training materials can be modified to
more closely reflect your environment and
operational challenges.
The training courses are divided in following two sections:
> Data Analysis & Data Migration
> Audit & Risk Management
|
Data Analysis & Data Migration Courses
|
Starting with Data Analysis
This course will take the audience through
all the basic features of the data analysis tool.
After importing more than a dozen different file formats
of any size, the student will learn to use the powerful
data analysis features to filter, interpret, transform,
analyse and export the data.
After this training, the participants are fully
self-reliant in their challenging data analysis and data migration projects.
|
Creating Automations & Extensions
Feature-rich as the data analysis software is, there may
be need to extend the tool with in-house developed
functionality.
This training will take the participants through the most
powerful functions and interesting commands before introducing
programming structures such as if-then-else or loop structures.
Finally, the participants learn how to create customised menus and
scheduled batch jobs.

Audit & Risk Management Courses
|
Auditing with PAWS
This training will take the Auditor through the complete
audit process.
Starting with a newly assigned audit, the auditor will
perform all the Steps and Tests
within the Audit Work Plan,
document Findings and define Actions,
add Work Papers,
score Risks and Controls, create the
Audit Report and much more.
Audit & Risk Management in PAWS
The Audit Manager will learn to define the Audit Universe
by mapping the organization (usually in terms of Processes or Departments)
into the PAWS tool.
He then continues to define Global and Entity-specific Risks
using the Risk Library.
After Audit Scheduling, the manager will review
the Audit, Findings, Actions and Draft Audit Report
before he signs off on the audit.
Finally, the report functionality
and standard report templates are illustrated.
PAWS for Business Users
The Business Users are introduced to the PAWS concepts
and web interface and learn how to update Actions,
create Follow-Ups, add Work Papers and
respond to questionnaires.
|
PAWS Administration
After being introduced the PAWS architecture, the administrator
will configure PAWS by setting the required parameters.
The tool is further fine-tuned so that the organization's
terminology is consistently used throughout the tool.
Further configuration consists of setting up the
RCM (Risk Control Matrix) according to the company standards and
managing users in the system.
PAWS Advanced Features
Covering topics such as Audit Checkout,
Report Designer
and Questionnaire management, this training is usually
scheduled some time after the introduction of PAWS,
depending on the demand.
Additional topics are often
introduced to compliment or increase the knowledge
already present in the organization and Audit Team.
